Replying to nobody

nostr:npub1gcxzte5zlkncx26j68ez60fzkvtkm9e0vrwdcvsjakxf9mu9qewqlfnj5z I use CalyxOS and MicroG instead of Google Play Services. I don't get push notifications but I don't know if anyone does.

I wouldn't even consider this an inconvenience but would be nice to have. Is it possible for Amethyst to support push with MicroG?

Open a bounty. Let's see if a dev can join the project and do it. It's very messy to do push notifications without Google. :(

Just got around to starting to scope this and actually figured out a fix. In case anyone else asks notifications do work with MicroG on the Google Play Store version of Amethyst. I've been using the Fdroid version. This was obvious in hindsight but hey we're there now.
