Those bastards don't want it.

That’s a good one

you pay with less appreciated asset first to devalue it more and more

Why don't you purchase more bitcoin then?

because I always keep losing it boating

I would pay only in those places where they accept it legitimately (keep bitcoin, do not change it back into FIAT and ideally into self-custody through their node) because I like supporting those businesses which understand pros of bitcoin.

So your motivation is to support the ecosystem, right? But it's not beneficial for you to use bitcoin?

Yeah, I do it to support community on conferences and infrastructure but I don't have enough bitcoin to spend it on daily basis and obviously I want to get rid of all my fiat first.

Why don't you purchase more bitcoin then?

As soon as you zap someone, or receive some zaps vice versa, you'll start thinking about bitcoin more as money: one time you get some, next time you pay someone with it, you don't have to have the same amount of bitcoin, or even more, at every moment. Try the above and it will change your attitude, I bet πŸ˜‰

I don't really know it just feels easier to have some fiat in case I have to pay something with it and because I can't pay with bitcoin at all places I would like (for example supermarkets). I would like to #getonzero in the future but today I'm not even considering it yet because of my lifestyle and my local economy not supporting it.

I do use bitcoin as settlement method with some of my friends and family members but I know I have to use it much more than now and I would definitely try it. It's just hard for me to do the first step in such an established way of doing things like paying.

A good strategy is also to pay with bitcoin and immediately buy the same amount with the fiat money you just saved. You won't feel like you've lost bitcoin, and you'll be supporting the person who wants bitcoin for their goods or services (I'm not considering payment gateways like Confirmo for simplicity).

That make sense. But it means you use bitcoin when it is possible, right?

Yes. But this bears a lot of transaction costs

Yeah spend and replace is exactly what I try do anytime possible but there are always some exceptions when you can't or don't want to do it.

Yes, I am trying to use it as much as possible and explore all the creative options, ways and services allowing me to do something.

I would say the same costs as if you buy bitcoin in advance for the fiat once you got it.

I think the costs are higher because you need to do it after every transaction (or every few transactions) whereas otherwise you can buy for larger amount once in a month or so.

Czech legislation (= taxable event). Regardless KYC/nonKYC, once you naturally play by the rules (no matter how good or bad), it doesn't feel right then...πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Ok, so do you consider it dangerous to pay for a lunch for example?

Na Slovensku budou mit tyto mensi platby (<2400€) danove osvobozene, zaznamenal jsem to dnes v podcastu #zaujaloma

No, just not with the right gut feeling...No, just not with the right gut feeling...

There are just excuses, no valid reasons. Unless the service you pay for is shitty (like state tax), you wanna pay for quality service with quality money.

Because I hold onto it like a hawk.πŸ‘€
