@liquid_btc is biggest argument against drivechains.
Once the 1-minute blocks are all full as much as mainnet is now, then we can talk about more side/drivechains.
If implemented now, they could be called 'ghostchains' instead.
I don't gamble.
But I can for sure telr you that next 100k blocks will not be more than 100k x 4MB,and likely much less than that (as we can clearly see lately).
That's why I stand by my statement, that I'm not afraid on chain bloat in the foreseeable future.
Dude.
Computers are faster than ever
Meanwhile, SSD storage price dropped 50% just few months ago, as it does every 2 years lately...
1TB is enough to run full node for fow more years and costs 50$,full pc capable to run the node is maybe 150-200 USD?
When you consider the USD is losing value and PCs get cheaper dispite that, I'm nto afraid for the next 10 years.
Also as we've seen, most blocks lately are barely above 1 MB, usually 'up to' 2MB only. At this rate, the storage needs are not gonna grow as quick as you might fear...
Better late than never. Even Binance finally added it, instead of adding another 100 useless shitcoins...
Pokud je to provda tak naprosto super
Jedine co se nezmeni je, ze bude max 21M BTC.
A friend I try to orange-pill is die-hard convinced that a currency to be good means of payment must lose value over time.
His argument is ofc thinking that 'everybody gonna hoard BTC and never spend any'.
Ideas how to talk him out of these misconceptions?
Growing evidence suggests that there will not be a 'one size fits all' solution to #Bitcoin scaling but rather many complementary protocols, each addressing different challenges and markets, that ultimately help usher in hyperbitcoinization.
In the latest Layer-2 Roundup, we delve into second-layer protocols, highlight the importance of interoperability, and showcase the projects using these solutions together to tackle the challenges of adoption and the growing pains that come with it—as we saw in May's high-fee environment.

There are also wallets which integrate multiple layers in them. Eventually I think it will be inevitable to have 'unified' BTC balance, and walrte will handle maving the funds across the most efficient channel...
This is not that far away IMO, 1-2 years max.

Me se to teda taky libilo :) jen tak dal GP, bitcoineri na takove kraviny nebudou utracet svoje tezce nabyty bitcoiny :)
There are just excuses, no valid reasons. Unless the service you pay for is shitty (like state tax), you wanna pay for quality service with quality money.
#zapathon still on?
Funny, just installing it now as well...

Gives me chills even after 10th time watching this... And then I stack some more sats...
What system/SW do you use?
I'm running personal server on unraid, i'ts great for my needs...
There is already biggest PoW network. Why not get some units of that one and stream sats while you get data?
Easy.
