Not gonna lie, that stops people on a dime when they see it.
I tried sending a buddy of mine my npub so he could check out nostr and he just looked up at me and said "wtf am I supposed to do with that?"
that was the best option that we used to have before njump was created. imma keep memeing about it until people learn. 😂
What’s njump?
I don't know, it's a nice way to make into a hyperlink but the interface is jarring.
I know there is work being done to make that better but these links will be the gateway to nostr it might be worth having this as presentable as possible. Not quite client level stuff but at least something less jarring.
Maybe instead of showing all the "under the hood stuff" just hiding it and asking, "want to see what x-person is sharing in nostr click here" to have them then choose a client.
anyone can fork it and make it look however they want
You could share nosta.me links instead. There’s a lot of options. I just personally think njump is the best.

Thanks, great to know these options are there
This is awesome, thanks
Agree with John tho, too much ‘info’ right off the bat, especially considering that the point is to make these links accessible to noobs.
Even for an ol’ but non-tech nostrich like me it was a lot.
Suggest having the page open onto just the basics, with links below for more details for those interested:
it's no just for noobs though. i use njump a lot.
Oh yea I’m not suggesting it should just be for noobs, just that when one first clicks on the link, it would be great to have the simplest & clearest info up top (for noobs, which is the great majority at this point),
and then the additional details below.
It’s true that chatGPT makes coding easier, but even someone like me who is deep down the bitcoin and nostr rabbit holes, still has to choose how and where to put my time and energy…
and being busy with a number of projects, family, work etc I don’t imagine coding anything anytime soon, much as I well know it would be to my benefit to learn, at least using chatGPT (and it’s on my ‘one-day’ bucket list)
Amethyst, noStrudel, and other clients integrated njump links with their share buttons. I shorten the link with w3.do for good measure
njump also supports nip-05 so you can share nice direct short links to your profile
Oh yeah, forgot about that. Njump is a blessing
