Yeah any car that is taller is going to help a lot. Plenty of Toyotas that are taller but jeeps are all taller. RAV4 is a great car that has a taller entry.
I just can't see many cars lasting beyond 200,000 or even 300,000 without a head gasket, transmission replacement or other similar repair. We keep our cars a long time.
My mother’s RAV4 was great but too small and not enough power. My Toyo that you saw in the door picture has 296k+. Our Jeep has 250k. Hubs changes oil /filters on all our high-mileage vehicles. He has been such an asset.

Also Seafoam in high mileage vehicles. Absolutely extends engine life.
Yeah I agree. Seafoam and intake cleaner are crucial for direct injection engines to remove carbon. Some manufacturers have done a good job by adding a fuel injector in the intake to clean the tops of the valves but most have not. Toyota has done this on most their engines. I also own Mazda and they have not. Seafoam or b12 is critical for long life and to keep away the Check engine lights.
My boyfriend in college had an R-X7, which was so fun to drive. His best friend had an old Toyota Land Cruiser with which we crossed the Cahaba River PDQ more often than I can remember. Mazda quit the rotary engine though, I understand.
I used to own an rx8. It was so cool. Our landcruiser is so cool but so amazing for what was considered "luxury" in 1997. The rear passengers get heat hi or low and that's it. No ac vents no chargers no screens, nothing. They do get ashtrays however.
Mazda just started making the rotary engine this year. It's a generator for their first hybrid.

50 something. It's not for sale in the US quite yet. It's a cool concept but it needs some refinement. It's been met with mixed reviews. The ev version is available in the US but doesn't really compete well. It's Mazdas first attempt so hopefully it gets better. For now I would stick to the gas powered versions which are excellent
50 mpg (? not sure what to say for electric, MPC?) that’s pretty strong but would barely get me outside of Mobile, much less to Birmingham.
That is the MPG not the range. The EV only version without the rotary engine isn't that great though. It only has a range of 100. It's fine to commute but don't forget to plug it in.
The R-EV has a normal range with a 13 gallon tank plug a period of time it operates on just the battery

That's a FJ 40. They are really cool. In good shape they are worth a lot of money these days. The 90s are the FJ80 also legendary but a completely different style.
It wasn’t air conditioned, or anything motorized. It had a badass wench on the front, which we had to put to the test a time or two, helping others, and ourselves, out of tight spots and deep mud. Four wheelin’ was big in the backwoods of Birmingham, Alabama in those days.
