Nobody believes eCash protect against being rugpulled. This is for small amounts so it doesn't matter.
True, but one interesting point is that the mint can't (easily) rug *you* specifically. The mint either has to rug everybody, or rug a random subset of the users.
Although, you need to take care to to stay relatively anonymous to retain this property. Use typical amounts, and use Tor, and then it should be (pretty) safe.
