We usually don't upload directly to our mind. We're filtering & manipulating before committing to storage, particularly if it's words.

The exception to this is images & videos. They don't need to be processed first. They can slip past your defences & effect you in ways you don't consciously realise. We should be particularly careful what media were consume.
