I quite smoking pot again for the 1000th time. I am quite certain it is a root cause for my depression. I know it is good medicine for many and it has been good for me in the past. These days, I don't need it and seem to have a problem keeping balance with it.

Wish me luck.

Alot less addictive if you just eat it. Should try landrace strains with different profiles, some strains really dont do well

And to the rebuttal “ive tried multiple but still feel the same way”

A lot of these strains are the exact same strains basically (lineage)

Thanks for the suggestion. It's also that I want to stack as many sats as possible. I hate to think about all the sats I could have had.

i found when i eat hash, i dont buy as much, hash is relatively cheap, none is wasted in the smoking process, the high lasts longer, not addictive so i dont do it daily anymore, just when i feel it can help

Best of luck brother

🙏 I am hopeful. I got too much I want to do.

You’ve got this! 💜🫂💜

Wise. Not what it was and very sticky substance. Clear days ahead!

It sure is. I can only imagine what it would feel like to be addicted to something more serious. Grateful for my battles.

Good for you for trying to quit, weed is addictive and bad for your brain and lungs. Weed, like other substances, floods your brain with dopamine. But anytime you do that, you’re making your brain less sensitive to natural dopamine. This is why you feel depressed, the normal things in your daily life don’t produce the same effects anymore. I recommend you get therapy. If you don’t have insurance, you can sign up with crowdhealth and get free virtual therapy with them as part of your membership. Find a therapist you like and work on it. You can change therapists as many times as you want.

One thing you can do to help quit the weed are cold showers and ice baths. The cold is very uncomfortable and basically does the opposite of what weed does to your brain: it makes you more sensitive to dopamine again. Cold showers are very difficult in the beginning though. I start with a warm shower then flip it cold at the end. Over time I try to stay under it longer and longer. Your brain will start to get better at tolerating discomfort and your dopamine sensitivity will return. Some people take this to the next level with ice baths and have been able to overcome cocaine addiction with it. Just make sure not to put your head under the cold water because I’ve heard that can be bad for you. Good luck.

Thanks for the input and suggestions. I know it isn't serving me anymore. I work with plant medicine for my therapies. Life changing. Now I am in a good place. It's just time to shed the habit.

Best of luck! I recommend some sport or healthy activity, try to eat better and find places where you can socialize more. Impossible is nothing! 💪

Yeah. I feel like when we let something go, it is helpful to have something to take it's place.

Yes! Definitely!! 💪

I go through phases of smoking more than I should and sometimes hardly at all. Definitely enjoy it the most when the weather is nice and I've got lots of manual labor type tasks to work on. Always useful to have an evening smoke and think through a tough problem.

Yeah. I now a lot of people that are able to use it and still stay productive. I am sure it's just conditioning. I have been off and on for a long time. Mostly on. And it just sucks all my motivation. Maybe after a long enough break, I can redefine that relationship.

I have a friend who is having the same exoerience, a gifted carpenter, handiman and artist.

He says he would sit in his room and draw, but not go anywhere.
