how can i get around the NY lightning wallet restrictions?? traveling right now in costa rica and i would love to pay in btc while i’m here! pls help, still nube at setting up wallets.

I'm English and am unfamiliar with the restrictions you speak of. I assume some state bs. Can I say say that lesson 1) Bitcoin is permission less.

So, I will make another guess that you are using a CUSTODIAL lightning wallet. Lesson 2) Don't trust, verify.

So you need a non custodial wallet.
