Iād encourage you to not overthink it, especially if your child(ren) are young. So much pressure is placed on āoh now Iām the teacher and Iāve got to do this and that and get it ārightā (aka perfect)ā
And that šis just not the case!
Does our son know all the academic bullet points he should or could? Noā¦
But you know what?
As a family we get to travel, we do devotions together several times a week, I get to pour into a young man whom will help shape the worldās future (however big or small God entrusts my sonās world to be)ā¦
Instead of going to YouTube or TikTok to find lifeās answers, he comes to his mom and I.
Yesā¦we still struggle with more video games than weād likeā¦but he also trains basketball 2-5 hours a dayā¦and video games is a way for him to connect with many of his friends.
He cares about people, he volunteers some of his time to shoot hoops with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
He loves nature and Godās creationā¦
So for all that we feel like we might be failing at academicallyā¦we are raising a man of God and Iād rather be the one leading that than outsourcing it to random people in a brick box that may or may not hold our same family values.
