Interwebs.

'sources say' means we made it up.

No, this actually happened and now theyโ€™re trying to hire everyone back on a weekend but canโ€™t reach them because their email accounts were shut off with no notice.

The Department of Government Efficiency at its most efficient!

That article cites NBC who claims to have a copy of an e-mail.

NBC also claims that the only way the government has to contact some of these employees is through their work e-mail, which was disabled. These are employees responsible for our nuclear stockpile, and the government does not have their personal e-mails, phone numbers or home addresses. Either this is bullshit, or Trump has more firing to do.

True or not, there have been repeated incidents of bad accounting. I remember one case many years ago where staff explained that the Excel sheets they used hat too few rows to keep track of all inventory and when they added more rows, data at the end of the sheet was automatically discarded by Excel to provide new empty rows... Maybe a thorough audit of how the stockpile is being managed would help?

They'd be taking the supply off the market AND not using it for government-y things. Could be worse.
