Can someone explain to me from a high level technical viewpoint why cashu is more secure and desirable to use daily on Nostr compared to the Lightning network?
Looking for a very detailed pros vs cons list too.

not more secure, nor more desirable in my opinion. Cashu needs Lightning to be effective in the Bitcoin economy, it does not replace it but can be used in some scenarios. Federated community banking (see fedimint), offline payments, low bandwidth settings and many more.
