I built it. Its on an outdated raspberry pi and 1 terabyte external drive. I'm not spending on this again - if I can't get it working, I'll just put a node on a laptop.
Buuut... I might be having some good luck now. Just waiting to see if electrs will fully sync. I could ditch electrs... Idk why I had it to begin with...
Usually to use your node to have a self hosted full chain reference and indexer for external wallets. Outside of that you are running a node for charity. (or maybe certain lightning implementations)
Oh ok, yeah I see that in Sparrow. It has these tabs... Connect to their node, connect electrs, but also a tab that looks like electrs isn't needed.

If I'm not mistaken the third connects directly to Core but from what I remember it had some IP revealing vulnerabilities. But, I am not certain.
