Yeah they don't hit as hard as dabs. But they also don't stink like dabs. Much more discrete.
I live in a state where it's illegal, but I live so close to the state line that I can actually walk to the weed store and back.
The distillate carts are poison man. Gotta go with Live resin carts if you’re going to do anything like that. Better to just smoke flower. Dabs are good if you have quality stuff but they are extremely harsh on the lungs.
Distillate carts are cleaner than dabs. The only thing cleaner is pure THC crystals. I used to buy this THC that looked like cocaine and I'd put it in my vape. No taste or aroma to it.
Distillate carts are wildly adulterated with all kinds of junk that you may not be aware of. Vitamin E, glycerin, heavy metals, the list goes on. I used to smoke black market distillate carts until finding this info out from a friend I know in the cannabis industry so this is not coming from a place of ignorance.

The ones I buy are not THC distillate. They're full spectrum cannabinoids with terpenes added back in.
I vape glycerin all day long anyway. PG/VG in medical nebulizer solutions for like 70 years so if it was harmful to inhale we'd know by now.

Common extraction methods include butane, ethanol, and CO2. Imo sub zero ethanol is the best. In any case the cannabinoids and any other volatile organic compound like terpenes are carried out of the plant material and then the extraction vehicle evaporates out leaving behind a sticky waxy substance. To make vape cartridges they add a little glycerin or sometimes vitamin e to make it more liquid so it will wick into the ceramic coil.
Vitamin E will make your lungs popcorn very deadly

The problem with room temperature ethanol extractions is they extract a lot of chlorophyll but I guess if you do it in Sub-Zero temps it doesn't do that
It does plus super dangerous co2 knocks the trichromes right off keeping the chlorophyll in the plant. . But a good flushing before the plant is done will help get ride of all chlorophyll
