Neither. I know plenty of people who don’t know. My dad was one of those “get another blanket” and “did you switch your fan” type of dads during winter.
I was smiling because at any age, we are always able to discover something simple and simultaneously amazing. I’m glad you shared. It was a genuine smile because finding stuff like that is just plain cool, and I enjoy the moments I find stuff like that.
Someone else told me about it, so I spent some time fiddling with my fans, then went "hot dog it works!" and came to share with the good people of Nostr.
I'd never heard of it before today, but my wife is Chilly Willy (of Chilly Willy fame) so I'm always looking for ways to get an extra edge in warmth.

I did that when I was a kid, but have since forgotten about that. I need to do that today. It's already nippy here in the Midwest.
