Your salary has zero correlation to how much value you bring to the world.

There are people making 100k a year doing absolutely fuck all. No value. No purpose. As little as possible.

And there are people making 20k a year who are putting in the work to make this world a better place.

I look forward to this aspect of the fiat world disintegrating. The new paradigm.

Keep adding value to the world and you will (eventually) be rewarded!

Seeing the world get better is enough reward for me.

Agree strongly.

We’re getting there

This is spot on. I've solved massive problems by launching startups that I wasn't even able to monetize. Costed me money.

Then you've got a government/union worker making $100k a year to start at 10am, take a 2hr lunch at 11am, and go home early at 3pm. Who does absolutely nothing of value.

Trigger alert - All the government services will come to a standstill if what you said is true. Over simplification and generalization is not going to help. I have worked as a consultant in government offices before and like any corporation in America there are people who slack and people who work hard. Compare the lifestyle and value provided by a government/union employee to say some CEO - Jamie Diamond for example and see who is providing more day to day value. Or ask how much you pay for HOA per month and the value board members of HOA provide to you while taking big pays home. They are private sector but they suck blood every month and I don’t see people complaining. What about board members of a company, They get paid multiples of 100k for one or two meetings a month. No one is working 4 hours a day in a government and taking 100k a year. Government salaries are public information. The only major benefit of working in government is retirement and work life balance and you get paid half of what private sector pays you.
