Tor relays by default

Only if more people volunteer to run Tor exit/relay nodes otherwise it’ll further cripple the tor network

Follows could be in app instead of over the protocol.

I'm trying to understand why it's necessary to broadcast your social graph.

It's not really a good metric for engagement.

Though I must admit it may be necessary to compete with the addictiveness of legacy social.

Eliminate the need for relays to see my IP.

How would you suggest to connect to anything outside of your own LAN, so over the internet using tcp/ip, without showing your ip? 🤔

TOR or VPN.

That'll help, but it's a client side solution, not a server side one. Relays still need to see ip addresses, they just won't see yours

Fire the current CEO, bring in Vitalik and convert to PoS

Strip ip address

Do a "campaign" of Tor utilisation like we do for cold storage sats.

I don't know anything about Tor, just that I should know about it.

I still think tor is overkill. A few multi-hop proxies would be way faster and private enough for most people

I guess it makes sense to have that option. With a note that if it turned on the performance experience will be not that good.

My understanding is a couple proxies blow Tor out of the performance water

Couple proxies offer faster performance but downgrades privacy and anonymity as always there are trade offs 🤷‍♂️

Maybe using a bouncer https://github.com/Yonle/bostr like a intermediate proxy that connect to your relays in your place?
