Everything is contaminated, always has been. It's ok to try not to touch receipts or eat GMO apples, but it's easy for a health movement to turn into a purity cult. Sure, we have microplastics in our water now, but we also used to get lead poisoning for no discernible reason.

Mitigation without obsession. Good bodily stewardship without being food fussy and breaking fellowship.
Yeah I don't like when people turn it into a purity cult. At some point I accept that some amount of nasty stuff in food is just inevitable. But I keep on the lookout for opportunities to make small adjustments in my habits to avoid some of those things.
One thing we did recently was get a tea steeper and switch to loose-leaf tea (when we can find it) or else cut the tea bags open and put the tea in the steeper.
Loose leaf tea is way better anyway, tried it a couple years ago and couldn't believe I'd been psyop'd into bagged tea all these years (not that I'm any kind of tea drinker at all)
