Apparently HP servers with SAS controllers are only compatible with HP enterprise hard drives.
Tried to save money buying a used server now I'm stuck with this hunk of junk because I didn't do my research 😭

Tried everything, 3 different drives, hba mode, system recover, new bios, nothing works.
O ly the HP drive that came with the server works :/

I've never heard of any hard drives being required for any particular controllers. Is it a hardware RAID misconfiguration perhaps?
Same with lab equipment. Most has to be connected to hq approved computer
