Apparently HP servers with SAS controllers are only compatible with HP enterprise hard drives.

Tried to save money buying a used server now I'm stuck with this hunk of junk because I didn't do my research 😭

Tried everything, 3 different drives, hba mode, system recover, new bios, nothing works.

O ly the HP drive that came with the server works :/

Server also way too loud to boot

The fans are hardcore. I'm running pfsense in my hp servers, trying to figure out what disks I'm using right now

Oh shit, I am using HP disks sry. Shit I'm gonna be annoyed as hel if have to buy replacements and they have to be HP. I normally use dell

And I don't think you can use a generic smart array controller either, won't work with the mobo
