Youtube Vanced doesnt work for me anymore since a couple weeks. It tells me to update but i heard if i do that it'll completely break due to google fighting them. Mainly use YT for music and podcasts next to Spotify.
Are you on PC? On Andoird you can use NewPipe. Its amazing. You can download it from F-Droid.

does it also limit ads like vanced does? that's why i used it mainly. to get around the ridiculously frequent and long ads that all of a sudden got implemented.
Yes my friend download F-Droid. Its an app store and all the apps there are free and open source. Many great free apps there. I dont even use the Play Store. You can download “Aurora” from F-Droid and download all Play Store apps without a Google account!

Newpipe is the best on android and on desktop FreeTube is the way to go!
The DuckDuckGo app blocks the trackers being sent to your phone through apps, you'd be surprised how many trackers your phone still gets even with a degoogled phone.
ddg is not blocking microsoft trackers tho! only google.
also, do you mean for search engine or just have the app on phone?
You can buy de-googled phones from brax.me and from Volta.com.
Better yet buy a Pixel and install GrapheneOS.
I thought Vanced was gone since it got a C&D by YouTube. Newpipe might have a data bandwidth issue, but its a great app and untethered me from the algorithm. Now almost everything I watch is just what subscribe to

vanced was indeed obstructed but it still worked for ppl that already had it.. but not anymore now. so sad.
