idk i got a participation prize once as a kid and i fucking cried it felt awful. i think a lot of the trophies were just so parents didnt have to admit their kid wasnt special tbh

it would interfere with the lesson they were teaching to their kids if the world didnt reward them as ✨special and perfect ✨

egocentric parent => egocentric kid
