As of the posting of this, PSN is heading for its 19th hours in an outage that Sony hasn't yet fully addressed about.

Fully offline and retro games are unaffected.

Speculation in social networks is that Sony facing a big DDoS attack.

With just a "sorry the inconvenience", Sony confirmed the restoration of Playstation Network and related services.

The next few days will be interesting either Sony reveling what happened or being in an effort to resist revealing what happened.

Reminded me that time that Kim Dotcom stopped a DDoS at a Call Of Duty launch weekend (I believe it was OG MW3,) after he pledhed to make a donation (apparently he knew the groups doing the attack.
