Also being honest though, I'm sure I'm not the only one who takes pleasure from

1. Doing really hard things no one wants to do

2. Doing things people really need, but most don't have the capacity to do

3. Having the opportunity to take risks other's can't/won't

4. Watching the lights blink as random people on the internet do things on my computers

4 sounds like a nice reward for the effort. I have a similar feeling when watching my miner and node near my desk.
