WFMU is listener supported and is the longest running freeform radio station in the United States. No ads and they can play whatever they want!

Cool radio station tho, was having a browse, there's a whole show exploring the music of religious cults.
Morricone Island is another good show — all motion picture soundtracks. It’s not on the summer schedule but again you can listen to the archives.
