You are quite optimistic. Maybe it can run on regular glasses in 10-15 years but no way it's getting fully open source and privacy friendly by 20 years. Look at what we got in 20 years of smartphones more or less.

Yes I am optimistic by nature, the open source community is growing faster and faster. I do not hope for open source hardware, just software. An Android version of this will come out in no more then 2 years. There are already Google engineers reverse engineering this technology as we speak.

I think the hard part is to get this tech on a pair of regular glasses, not the open source version. If you think how fast Mistraal AI model was created after chat GPT became popular, you realise how powerful the open source devs are.

I hope you are right. Speaking of which, I have just tried Mistral on my local Linux machine and it's really good!

The first Windows version was published in 1985 and the first Linux in 1991. This was when computing was at it's infancy, nowadays there are many more geniuses out there who do not wish to work for corporations.
