Appreciate your welcome ;-) The technical burden is still quite high compared to set up a #x or whatever fancy #socialnetwork account. 1. Find the right app. 2. Try out 3. Be dissapointed becaus everything is laggy and you feel somehow like nothing works here (at this stage the average user is already lost) 4. Read some how to do's 5. Whatch some #youtube vids 6. start searching for relays that work 7. Search for a way to verify yourself 8. Damn realize you already have five #wallets but non of theese works with #nostr so set up a sixt one and link to your profile ... And so on ... But the point is, that i will not use #X or whatever plattform like i want to use #nostr. Means for me this might be the first time i feel confident to share my thoughts with you guys and maybe even to prepare some content. For me an exciting experience begins now at #nostr and i fxxxxxx don't care about my x account anymore.

I sincerely don't think Nostr should benchmark itself against X. Similarities apart the Meta ecosystem is much larger and even less free. The biggest Nostr opportunity is to wait Zuckerberg and its plataforms to slip with its users (and they will).

Overall, just keep enhancing the usability and features/apps. Doing it, time will do the rest by itself.

I have finally decided to spend more time here. My "X" feed is total garbage now. I miss the old days. This feels much closer to what I was used to.

Maybe both a 1st and 2nd degree of separation feed.

It's not an algorithm that sorts and suggests, it's just a way to peer 2 levels up/down. Then new users could pick their primary follows and grow it organically based on their interests. Sifting through Global is as unproductive as the Fediverse was.

The app Nuzzel did a really good job of this exact thing for a few years, through 2020. Its approach was to just pull news postings from friends / follows and their follows. But a better nostr approach would just be to query multiple levels of npubs. Maybe that can already be done?

A feature like that would ease the transition of X users. Thanks for all of your efforts.

People prefer it when they can easily use social networks. For example, posts are not deleted, which is a big problem. First you need to solve this
