Have any of the auto makers moved away from horrible touch screen controls?

Mazda has a non-touch screen, controlled my a wheel/trackpad. Works great!

I want to like mazda but not happy about their subscription fee to use remote start. Shitty business model

Did not know about that subscription… that’s a crappy way to operate for sure

my wife's palisade has all the buttons/knobs AND a touchscreen

BlackBerry cars, analog tectile feedback, sign me up

No, but my fingers do while driving.

My newish Ford Explorer has the touch screen for non-driving stuff, and all analog controls and traditional (but electronic) displays for stuff you need to do while paying attention to the road.

No way am I going to drive my car by iPad.

Mazda 3 '21 doesn't have a touchscreen full stop

My Kia Telluride has touch screen, but it has manual controls (knobs & buttons) also for all of the common stuff that you really need. The rest of the features are just window dressing.

i was wondering what nostr:npub193jegpe9h0csh7al22mkcstqva2ygyny7ura8kwvrn4tsmtnl4lsrxny6k 's nick was related to

tellurium is some rare or synthetic element i think, i forget... but thet word has some magical significance in norse mythology i think

ah, just read up on it... it's a rare mineral but not that rare, and it can be used to change lead and copper to be more useful in certain ways

also a ski town in Colorado where I lived once upon a time.

One of my favorite cities in Colorado is Telluride. It was an old mining town. It was really interesting 30+ years ago, but the rich discovered it, so it is built up now and not nearly as nice to visit, IMHO.
