Discussing private keys, public keys, and relays are confusing for most people. These aren't terms that most people use in their everyday lives. That doesn't mean that they can't learn though. It means that we need better ways to communicate technical information to non-technical people. (Bonus: that is my favorite question to ask candidates during interviews.) Nostr is getting better all of the time at handling this too. nsecBunker bunker with Oauth-style login and password is a great start to this entire process. We'll still need to teach and educate those using these services though. Work hard.

THIS ... Absolutely π―
I don't understand & am still learning & that's okay. To me it's the same as astral travel or energy exchange ... some don't understand & need to be educated πβπ
technology always works best when it fades into the background. we're not entirely there yet, but we're getting there :)
i don't understand astral travel or energy exchange, but i do find it interesting to learn :)
New user here, it's much easier than I thought. I mean to create a nostr account.
that's great to hear. that means our developers and designers are killing it :)
yup - its an uphill learning curve for non-tech folks but surely the newcomers search n learn from such we posy everyday
if they wanna go back bigtech digitalcage get spoonfeed algo cooked content or remain learn to learn the stuff navigate n hunt their way around as free bird
Attempt to simplify these terms in Business terminology.
Private Keys: Door/Shutter of your Shop ( Only you should open it)
Public keys: Address of your business, which you share with others.
Relays: Industry/ business association/ market you are part of.
that's not a bad analogy. though we should really just call relays 'network' in all apps. everyone understand that network means servers or how you're connecting to things on the internet. relay management could be confusing. networking management is something that people are generally familiar with now.
Perfect π
NOS-2X is starting for basic user - NWC on mobile - other stuff nsec bunker nsec app comes later ...
nos2x is bad. the UX is bad. i would consider not recommending that any longer and look at recommending Nostr Connect instead. it's essentially just a forked and improved version of nos2x by nostr:npub1zfss807aer0j26mwp2la0ume0jqde3823rmu97ra6sgyyg956e0s6xw445

Many people use public keys every day at work, but most of them do not think about it.

People used to be foreign to the ideas of CC and "forward vs reply". Now it's basically common knowledge.
agree, though i do still get people replying to all instead of just to the original emailer quite often. this is the next thing that we need to tackle. the worst offenders are parents of kids on sports teams. c'mon now becky, i don't care that you ordered a hoody. you don't need to tell everyone you did that.
Yeah, "reply to all" is the same as the clock settings on a VCR. Too tough for most to deal with. π€£
I think the confusion is because Key is used for both the private and the public part. Maybe renaming the public "key" to Public Lock would help a ton, to differentiate between the public and private parts (π). Everyone "locks" messages for you with the Public Lock you gave them, your Private Key can unlock those messages (π+ π = π)
