I don’t like seeing a client being attacked i.e Amethyst ! Amethyst, Damus, Plebstr have the same goal ! Grow nostr !

It is turning into a toxic competition.

Please remember why you came to nostr to the first place, Nostr is more about unity ! So act like it please ! πŸ’œπŸ«‚

Attack is one thing but there legitimately needs to be discussion on the implementation of certain NIPs and features. We are in a brave new world charting the unknown. We are coming from a fiat minded world where central authorities unilaterally build both the protocol and client and dictate to users how to interact.

This is no longer the case. Civil discourse is essential for us to forge the right path forward. If we as users want a choice in products, that choice must be allowed to exist in the form of multiple clients. These clients must then be built in such a way that a user is able to self-curate the content they receive without censoring the content a user pushes out into the world.

Someone talked to me here the other day, about governance ! And I think Nostr needs a good governance model, if we want it to progress and evolve correctly !

I appreciate the ideas and considerations these contributions to community discourse engender and inspire. -- I absolutely can see and understand and appreciate the value of 'curated' communities and experiences, that said, if we're talking about developing a functional universal accord - I think there is also something of a slippery slope to consider -- random tangential thought ... a feudal warlord in 1130A.D. might have been able to create strife and discord for perhaps several hundred kilometers and/or miles ..however, generally speaking there was a more or less defined boundary of influence, and the attrition of time and the power of ideas will eventually inspire change. Now however ..50 idiots can kill the world ya know? ...Coulda written alot words to say that ..but that's what I'd have meant so...theres that piece too. HA! ..So yeah, definitely want to have cultivated, curated, free, and ideally civil communities and exchanges etc. -- And then to Amine's comment with respect to "Governance" broadly ... those are...nuanced and very important questions to consider. And no doubt will result in some incredible exchanges, conversations, and making of new friends -- good stuff.
