I love creek canyons. We had three notable ones near where I used to live and it was like an Indiana Jones adventure, starting at the outlet to the lake and just scrambling through the stream and up the rocks through various plunge pools. The water never got above 58°. Amazing on a hot summer day. One of them even had a great plunge pool with a trail to the top of the waterfall so you could actually dive off the waterfall after doing a couple of underwater checks to see if the terrain on the bottom had changed since last season. After diving off, you could go under or behind the actual waterfall, and get showered by hundreds of gallons of cold water and swim around before taking the canyon rim trail back home only minutes away. Creek shoes, a downhill ski pole with a sling on it, and a wet pack with a few beers, a towel and a couple of sandwiches and you were good for the day.
Love that. I wish there was a spot here where I could swim. The falls are really nice though. There’s a spot on the rocks where you could post up and let the water crash onto you. Places like this make life worth experiencing
Sounds like this is right up your alley 👇
Awesome place. I hope to see it soon. First stop when we can is Uruguay. Then CR.
That’s a magical little creek
If you have today off, you can just go on an adventure!
