β€œIm relatively new to nostr and not the techiest girl in the world, and so far the **zapping is one of the more interesting aspects that keeps my engagement with Nostr.**”

This is valuable user feedback and we are all basically building this thing together as we ride on it. How new users feel and experience their interactions with the protocol is important.

Without unique profiles for every person, everyone could zap themself so badges would not be effective and everybody could gain them without giving away their shatoshis.

Is there a way to really do that without KYC? πŸ˜•

Its also interesting that this type of platform does not store the data 'onchain' like others wish to.

The info is decentralised without clogging a money network.

Social media communication don't need a blockchain. There's little value in knowing that every now has arrived in sequence.

All I need to know is that it your npub is yours & it was your npub that said 'xyz'. This is achieved through social verification of npubs & the signing of all notes.

A bottom up way tofund a narrative as opposed to a top down billions for a news network way.
