Wow. I am more surprised by 'seven-and-twenty'. 😯

I like it because the character Charlotte Lucas in Pride and Prejudice accepts the ridiculous cousin Mr. Collins’ offer of marriage, because she’s 27 and already a burden to her parents. Also seven-and-twenty makes the response rhyme.

Seven-and-twenty was not an uncommon way for people to say their age at one point British history. It’s not common these days. I think it was even a bit old fashioned by the Victorian period.
