Replacing your protein with carbohydrates during a cut may mean:

1) Less lean mass will be kept during the cut

2) Less recovery

3) Less gains

Of course, the amount of those potential losses depends on the amount of replacement

Caveat: I'm a meat maxi and am aware that some people are unable to do near-carnivore diets

Definitely wasn't easy on the first try! The more I tried, the easier it became. Some people go 85, 90, 95%. Personal preference, of course.
