My personal thoughts that no one asked for on Likes vs Zaps:

I use Likes to show recognition. While zaps & reposts are the true feel good hit, it's nice to see a Like and know someone saw, read, and interacted with my content.

I use Likes in this way: to show that I saw what someone posted and wanted to interact with it.

On the flip side, I zap when I feel the content was worthy of some money out of me. Repost and zap is the peak. If I find value in something, a Like is pointless and doesn't transmit value. Therefore, I zap.
