I noticed that posts with swearing get reposted by some foxy bots which eventually lead a bunch of other bots to start following me.

There seems to be however another thing that is generating profiles and making them follow others. The others are maybe the owners of those notes that got reposted by this or other search bots.
Why? because fk it. No clue.
Sure... why not. People on X used to pay for this. I get it for free on Nostr.
On a serious note, I sometimes go over the followers and check them in case there are interesting profiles to follow. This is getting harder and soon unrealistic 😕
I also hate the term follow and followers. Gives me shepherd and sheep vibes.
