Maybe the current fee situation will force large exchanges such as Binance and Coinbase to implement Lightning for withdrawals? This is good for Lightning adoption. All of our previously opened channels are all now more valuable.

No they won't do it they are enemies of free people they are enemies of Bitcoin as they have intvented themselfs money printers

Why would they care? They are not the ones paying the miner fees.

Because people will seek out exchanges that do this already.

You still have to settle it onchain to get it into cold storage. How is that going to help?

I think way before that happens, these BRC20 investors will run out of money

Can someone do the math and figure out how much has been paid in fees over the past 72 hours?

72X6X150k = 65M

So quite the incentive for #btc miners to promote shitcoins, NFT’s and other Ponzi schemes?

Something is broken.

Well yes temporarily, until miners turn on more ASICS to jack up the difficulties so high it will soak up the extra fees.

Sounds less profitable.

A less optimistic take is that those exchanges don’t care because high fees just encourage people to leave their coin on the exchange.

You're probably right. Ugh.

still gotta open channels
