I live in zone 7a. It’s going to continue being in the 90’s through August. Our average last frost is November 15. What do you recommend for direct sowing that might grow well in my environment?

Nice. For what I have I’d recommend either Snowball Turnips or Scarlett Nantes Carrots. Just be sure to really work the soil well to allow the roots to develop without being obstructed. You could also try Red Russian Kale which would get sweeter as the frost comes in!
