when i was a kid people could simply claim to like classical music and everybody would automatically accept that they had great taste in music

i worked tirelessly for decades to ridicule, shame and put down these people at every opportunity until i finally killed these posers off

or so i thought ...

now they have again found some style of music ( not sure what it is called ) but they again all listen to it for obviously the same reason - because they have all agreed that listening to this type of music prove that you have great taste, even though of course it is total shit.

it's the same as how men all used to agree that to be manly you must drink beer and like big tits and teenagers used to agree that to be cool you must smoke and so on.

and they all have the same "sense of humor" ( even though nobody finds it funny ) where they say things like " i did a thing " etc.

it's so fucking sickening how this entire class of insufferable human beings all coordinate on how to pretend to be cool, funny, having great taste etc. and even though it just makes most normal humans want to vomit they aren't giving up, because what choice do they have ? admit that they have no taste, sense of humor or personality ?

9 out of 10 nostriches are in this group.

I love classical music, but I don't virtue signal it. People don't even know I listen to classical music. I just genuinely like it.

you remind me of a joke: " he's so humble but doesn't know how to show it ! "

you should try listening to Apashe, who likes to mix the sounds of symphonic orchestra into his Electronic Dance / Pop / Hip-Hop music

Here is a video of Apashe trolling himself about his addiction to orchestral sound and how he really should stop but can't

I'll give it a try in a bit. I don't usually care for pop, but I don't hate it. Rap and hip hop I just can't stand. And before you call me an audiophile, I listen to punk rock which I don't think anybody would call high art -it's the same 4 chords packed in 2 minute songs- but I enjoy it a lot.

I tend to like older music (as in before I was born), but I give new things a try. When dubstep came out I thought it was interesting and creative. People my age were just disgusted by the "noise".

Boomer !

I did not like the vocals at all. Definitely too hip hoppy for me. The music wasn't great, but it wasn't bad.

Apashe uses different vocalists for different tracks but it's always hip hoppy as you put it.

His modus operandi seems to be that he writes the music and has guest hip hop artists bring their own flavor to the vocals and he tries to rotate them as much as possible to keep things fresh.

He also seems to travel the world to collaborate with vocalists from different countries.

the music usually only has a slight hint of Orchestra to it but in this track he went all out because it was meant to be over the top.

basically Apashe is all about mixing and matching different stuff.

my preference for vocals is that there either should be none ( instrumental ) or it should be beautiful female vocals, or it should be rap / hip hop.

i don't need to hear dudes singing. that shit is gay.

I do love some symphonic metal bands, like Within Temptation, where the lead singer is a woman.

BOOOOMEEEERRRRR ! ! ! !

Something something bootstraps!

Just as I don't announce that I listen to classical music, I most definitely not announce that I could listen to those sings you shared and even enjoy them in small doses. I like 8 bit music also in small doses (it gets repetitive and drives me crazy after a while) and these songs remind me of that.

Oh, Japan... from samurai to anime, you truly are in the dankest timeline.

between you and nostr:npub1acg6thl5psv62405rljzkj8spesceyfz2c32udakc2ak0dmvfeyse9p35c not sure who would win the irony Olympics !

I don't know Mike, but I'm happy to be Olympic. Maybe I can get a medal!

I don't know why I'd participate in the irony event, though.
