For people on here who seem to think the government is your friend, it's not and neither are politicians and bureaucrats who run it.

For people on here who still seem to think the government is going to make your life better, it's not.

For people who still seem to think the government solves problems it first didn't create through its own overreach and over reaction, it's not.

The government doesn't care about you, it creates your problems and then acts like it's going to solve them.

Stop advocating for government actions. It's trash and screws everyone in the long run regardless of where you fall on the political spectrum

Did you vote ?

I voted against the growth of my local township trying to change ordinances to give themselves more power. Invited against a wolf in sheep's clothing proposal by the state wildlife commison giving themselves more power. When I vote it's on the ordinances and law change proposals to the states constitution.

Did you vote

I did ..

I voted for the candidate(s). And acquited "what needs to be done ? " to them . My rationale is simple - I can't even keep my own desk clean 😭 .. let someone else fix the world who appear more capable and interested ! And if they don't , I would change my allegiance in next cycle .. it's a roll of dice !

But I know, collective is as important as the individual.. they exist because of each other 😊 .. more importantly, it is a fun game to watch :-)

That's fair. They can't keep their own desks clean though, so don't put too much faith in them.

It can be entertaining to watch though. I think Trump is hilarious because of how well he trolls people. I just have no faith in the system anymore.

Honestly tho is there anybody on here who fits that description? Isn’t that why we nostr? 🤔

Absolutely there are.

Sadly yes

Agreed. Can you point us to a place without one?

Hopefully it's being created. The only other place I could think of is heaven fully aware that it's the system that we live in currently.

People get so absorbed in their political dogma that they forget that people in DC were wherever their government is State, local, province, whatever anywhere in the world. They don't really care about your well-being. They did. You'd have more freedom at least in my opinion, which isn't worth much.

My point is, you might as well be complaining about the sun. Governments are a thing and taxes are a constant. Politics is a bidding war. Either you get involved or you get out bid.

Sitting it out means you get burned... Every single time. Do I want something better, of course. But look at California right now and ask yourself if politics irrelevant.

Never said it was irrelevant. Wasn't the point of the post.

I suppose in responding to your call to stop advocating for govt action. I took that as "stop voting".

If that's not what you're saying, then my bad. If it is, then I would say voting against something is just as important as those who feel the need to vote for.

Those people aren't going away. Unless you show up, they get what they want and you're screwed anyway.

Just like war... I'm against that too, but what options do you have when they come to your shore. Politics is no different. Most of us have let it ride for far too long. Time to get off the bench.

No the post was because someone made a post calling for the government to make another law for something that it needs to stay out of

You do you. I'll stick with only caring about the state level because it can nullify federal law and I will try to limit them as much as I can

Point taken. Everyone needs to pick a battle field. Seems you've found yours.

I think we're coming from the same place.

You can vote as hard as you want. I don't believe in the US at federal level it matters at all at this point since they're all paid for regardless of how they get in. I responded to someone else how I vote and if you want to know just scroll through the comments.
