I’m glad the occasional demand spike for the Bitcoin network, including via ordinals and runes 💩, sparks L2 scaling development on Bitcoin.
I think the existence of monero takes off privacy pressure from Bitcoin. If monero didn’t exist, there would probably be more demand for privacy solutions on Bitcoin.
That could be true.
There will never be privacy on Bitcoin L1. And becuase of that, it will never be fungible. They dont want it and rationalize the benefits to a transparent blockchain.
Just my opinion.
