He did absolutely nothing with the takedowns and Strickland got up immediately every time. A wash.

I agree with that. The judges saw takedowns. I think it could have gone either way. If it was a "fight to the death" match I'd still be unsure who would win, though I think it would be Strickland

Yeah I agree. I think DDP also coming forward more and throwing a lot of big winging punches (even though most missed) had something to do with it. I’d like to see the UFC revamp their judging so judges get a chance to look at fight stats and action more closely before awarding a winner. Not likely, but as an educated combat sports fan that’s what I’d prefer.

Those overhand rights were just shots in the dark. The leg checks from Strickland looks like a fucking robot. Bro didn't even have to look; just starred him down.

Strickland is a fun fighter to watch. Fluid, fast straight punches and his defense is among the best in MMA (imo). Dricus is too clunky for me but the guy is a savage. Just not a big fan of his style.
