Imagine your boss taking at least 7% of your paycheck every year — like clockwork. That’s inflation at work.
Discussion
I found out recently that Social Security takes about 6% out of every paycheck. So it’s like 2x inflation.
That fukker.
Perfect analogy 🤝
It's more painful than that, isn't it? 7% compounding, right?
They don't simply take 7% from the same level of income annually, they actually reduce your take home pay 7% annually.
For example...
From $100 in year one they take $7, from $93 in year two they take $6.51, from $86.41 in year three they take $6.04, and so on.
Or have I got that all wrong? 😑 I always tend to blank out when it comes to numbers. 😂🤓
Yes, unless you renegotiate your pay constantly, and totally succeed every time, it is essentially a compounded loss. Imagine a young widow who was delighted to buy what seemed to be a fantastically generous $800 per month annuity with her late husband's life insurance policy in 1975. Her wealth has been mostly stolen by the parasite overclass, no negotiation allowed, no lawsuit allowed, no recourse whatsoever.
That's a horrible scenario. 🥺🧡
