Does anyone base their planting schedule of what native plants are doing?
I'm wondering if waiting to start seeds until the buds of a tree start forming would work. Maybe not that signal, but something.

I still go by the last frost date for my region, which is Memorial day. Trees here will be in full foliage by then. I remember frosts in mid May before, knocking all the blossoms off the fruit trees and having no apples or pears for that season.
