which is basically your point. so this view is posing as conspiratorial but actually is mainstream. it is an astroturfed conspiracy.

reminds me of the view 20 years ago that we went into Iraq for the Oil - it was another astroturfed conspiracy to hide the fact that we went into Iraq for Israel.

the official story was that Iraq had WMDs, the official "conspiracy" was that we did it for oil and the reality is we did it for Israel.

and now the official story is we're protecting American jobs, the official "conspiracy" is we're preparing for war with China and reality is we're just forcing the west into poverty for Klaus Schwab.
