I don't follow the #ordinals space all that much anymore since they're not competing with my transactions for block space, but I saw that the Unisat guys are pushing their own side chain fractal Bitcoin that should go live in the next few hours, bold strategy, wonder if it's going to pay off for them, theres already enough chains around and why not use Rootstock or Liquid, its not like those side chains are super busy either

I suppose you're right, I briefly tried to read up on it, just seems like a fork with extra op_codes and using merge mining, I don't know how that differentiates yourself from other side chains enough, apart from the whole embracing of ordinals, I suppose if they're willing to take on the degen stuff and abstract more of it off main chain, its all good with me lol go play in your corner

Do you know what block it starts?

It's not a sidechain, it's just a random Core fork.
