I use kdenlive
ffmpeg for simple stuff, avisynth/avxsynth for anything more complex.
Agree on ffmpeg for simple stuff, haven't tried the others
I use DaVinci Resolve on macOS but they have a Linux distribution as well. They have a free and paid version.
It’s not FOSS though.
