What if they know enough to tell you to unlock it and to sign over your Bitcoin to their receive address.

ColdCard has some interesting ideas re: dummy accounts, distress logins, etc.

There's also the multi-sig option where you actually *cannot* send it without another person signing it. Possibilities there.

I would rather not risk telling a highly-motivated thief about multisig to avoid an unscheduled road trip.

Does ColdCard Mk4 tap sign to any mobile wallets?

No idea, sorry

Mk4 NFC tap via IOS Nunchuk sucks balls. I wouldn’t buy it thinking that works. It’s the “elephant in the room” on that model.

Not sure about Android and / or other mobile wallet combinations.

I'm thinking then just keeping the diversion wallet on an old phone.

Just tried it with an iPhone and a Pixel with Graphene, and neither of them worked ofc. iPhone errored out and Pixel never even established comms.

😳

Fuck it I have a shitcoin HWW with a fingerprint sensor. Worst case scenario is I lose an index finger and can no longer do the shocker with my good hand.

😂

This is where I think that a diversion/duress hardware wallet with the fastest signing workflow is the clear choice. The hardware wallet is basically a prop. The fast signing workflow doesn't leave time for questions or scrutiny. The payout of a non-trivial-yet-not-devastating amount of Bitcoin diminishes tension.
