Let me start over. I'm considering Coldcard BTC wallet. What are your thoughts?

Considering one for maybe a future fresh start. I've heard good things but no experience with it myself. Yet.
I don't have one at all yet, and one I had considered before is now, well, kind of iffy. So, Coldcard was suggested. I read up on it. It looks pretty straight forward. Just wondering what others think, or what there experiences have been?
I feel like just when I've got ahold of some confidence in this, I then also get the iffy feeling. I wish you the best of luck 🫂
Consider buying one as well and testing it out. Listened to some podcasts/shows with nostr:npub1az9xj85cmxv8e9j9y80lvqp97crsqdu2fpu3srwthd99qfu9qsgstam8y8 and he seems like a total cool dude who thinks a lot about safety and the users (in contrast to Ledger for example).
2 secure elements is a pro. Total air-gap is a pro. I don't think you get it any safer than this. But nevertheless no first-hand experience (yet) here.
It's honestly next on my list. I settles for the Jade late last year and like it a lot. Stack sats. Or buy new hardware. Ugh.
But I'd like a fresh seed and when I do, this is my plan. 🫂

my favorite option. has many great features. seems to be most secure (two secure elements, etc, but im not an expert). straightforward to use, but does require you to learn about bitcoin a bit, a feature not a bug. overall if youre serious about bitcoin, i think it's the best choice.

It’s got a learning curve but for my money there’s no other product that takes security as seriously while still having flexibility.
