Backup phone in case of loss of primary.
No phone is ever truly airgapped unless destroyed.

How did you get it air gapped?
I really like this idea. So it would be aan android phone with no sim card, wifi off and airplane mode on. Because it's offline, you don't need to update the android version I assume, but then again, vulnerabilities aren't fixed with updates.
